Jacques Rautenbach is the Chief Strategy Officer: Emerging Africa, at Internet Solutions (IS). In addition to this role, Rautenbach holds the position of Chief Executive Officer: Southern and East Africa.
 
He has spent over 10 years in the ICT industry holding senior positions in the IT sector and has also spent a large part of his career as network engineer and product architect in a global networking organisation. IS is a division of Dimension Data and Rautenbach was appointed in 2004 specifically to develop and establish an African strategy to compete on the continent outside of South Africa.
 
Using his extensive knowledge of satellite technology and his understanding of the needs of African customers, Rautenbach has opened IS offices in Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique and Kenya.
 
Rautenbach has studied in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering. He is a member of the South African Kendo Team, plays golf regularly and has a keen interest in sport in general. Rautenbach also holds a private pilot license for fixed wing aircraft and is currently working toward his commercial pilot’s license.
