Connectivity over Metro Ethernet can be used for continuous, high-volume data transfer as required for applications. These include centralised Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), database and e-mail that are accessed by branches regularly. It can also be used for SAN replications for large backups, internet and intranet access and VoIP applications carrying intra-company voice traffic.
